Craig Von Dohren Opens 2018 Northeast Season at Georgetown Speedway
March 19, 2018 - The veteran driver out of Oley, PA, used a restart with 18 laps remaining to cruise to a season-opening victory on Friday evening at Georgetown Speedway for the first race of the 2018 season in the northeast.
Despite frigid temperatures, the 30-lap main event saw 30+ small block modifieds on hand to chase the $4,049 payday.
“It’s really a great feeling to win right off the bat,” Craig Von Dohren said in victory lane. “We found some things at the end of the season last year at Bridgeport, and it seemed to carry over tonight.”
Billy Pauch Jr. held on for second, outdueling Duane Howard for third, Jared Umbenhauer took fourth and Friesen concluded the top five.
Everyone at Pioneer Pole Buildings would like to congratulate their driver, Craig Von Dohren, on his first victory of the season!
